• Bookmarks, language choices and app preferences stored to improve the user experience.
• Technical information such as device type, app version and basic usage diagnostics for reliability and support.

2. How we use information

• To operate the app and provide alerts, contact directories, jobs, services and other listings.
• To review inaccurate information reports and improve content quality.
• To contact a user when they voluntarily provide phone details for support or follow-up.
• To maintain security, detect misuse and improve reliability.
• To deliver optional notifications about important local alerts and updates.

3. Notifications

On supported devices, Champaran Connect may request notification permission to send important local alerts and public updates. Users can disable notifications at any time from device settings.

4. Data sharing

Champaran Connect does not sell personal information.

Information may be shared only when necessary with:

• Service providers involved in hosting, analytics, notifications or app operations.
• Government or legal authorities when required by applicable law or lawful request.
• Internal moderators or administrators who review reports, listings and operational issues.

5. Data retention

Personal data is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for operations, security, moderation, legal obligations and user support. Non-essential data may be deleted sooner upon valid request.

Reasonable technical and administrative measures are used to protect user information. No internet-based system can be guaranteed 100% secure, so users should also use care when sharing sensitive information.

8. Children’s privacy

Champaran Connect is not intentionally directed at children under 13. If personal data from a child is discovered without appropriate consent, reasonable steps will be taken to remove it.
